Wernher is hardly honest about his back story or motivations he wants to rule The Pitt himself, and he's using Midea and the slaves to serve his own ends, not to free them. Furthermore, even if Wernher takes over - even if you declare yourself the new Lord of the Pitt - nothing changes in terms of the slaves being freed. That too is obviously problematic as it allows a city running on slave labour to remain a hell hole, but it does seem more likely that Sandra will find a cure, and does genuinely love her daughter besides. ![]() However, on my most recent Good Karma playthrough, I sided with Ashur. Not exactly good and virtuous, but seemingly the lesser of two evils. While it wasn't a perfect solution, ripping a baby from its parents and killing them, it felt like a "needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" situation. ![]() ![]() In most of my Good Karma playthroughs, I've taken out Ashur and all his raiders.
